The Team

Exodus is growing, and looking for fellow volunteers who have a heart for serving, and making others feel supported and included.

Deanna K.

Executive Director

Exodus has been Deanna's dream for 10 years now. She has integrated herself into the local homeschool community since arriving in Tulsa. Exodus is born out of a desire to serve, and Deanna will give everything she has to serve & support others.

Her job duties include but are not limited to: 

This person feels called by God, views Exodus as their Mission, loves to serve others, and has a tenacious work ethic.

  • Develop and implement plans and goals for Exodus

  • Ultimately responsible for Exodus

  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and policies while staying on focus within the mission

  • Conducts teacher and family interviews, as well as discipline issues should they arise

  • Assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses

  • Communicate with all Leadership and Staff

  • Is the contact for the Board Members, holding quarterly meetings.

  • Maintains networking within the community for various needs of Exodus

  • Supervises leadership

  • Developed and maintained the Exodus website and social media.

  • Social media marketing

Julia W.

Assistant Director / Financial Director

Julia is a second-generation homeschooler from Virginia who now educates her three children. She is excited to use her gifts and many years of office experience to support Exodus's efficient and well-organized structure while bringing her welcoming attitude and enthusiasm to build this community.

  • Assisting in developing and implementing plans and goals for Exodus

  • Working with the director to coordinate and supervise daily operations

  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and policies while staying on focus within the mission

  • In charge of financials and taxes

  • Keeps track of budget and expenditures going in and out of Exodus

  • Is on the bank account

  • Helps with teacher and family interviews and discipline issues should they arise.

  • Assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses.

Position Open

Office Manager

This person feels called by God, views Exodus as their mission, has a welcoming personality, is organized, is a self-starter, and loves to serve others. 

  • Oversee and support all admin duties and ensure the front-end office runs smoothly.

  • Assigns and prints name tags

  • Greats guests in front and makes sure they stay in appropriate areas

  • In security, watching the doors during classes

  • Helps with teacher and family interviews and discipline issues should they arise.

  • Manages mail

  • Helps oversee daily operations and ensures efficiency

  • Answers phone and emails as needed

  • Keeps a list of supplies required and orders/stocks them in the building. 

  • Replaces items Exodus uses, such as plates, cups, toilet paper, etc. 

  • Keeps track of and orders name tags and a small amount of class supplies. 

  • Organizes the supply closet and keeps it accessible.

Position Open

Class Coordinator

This person feels called by God, views Exodus as their mission, is highly organized, creative in using the space available, and loves to serve others. 

  • Provides and offers continuous support to Teachers

  • Creates the classroom schedule and assigns class space.

  • Discusses any issues that may arise between teachers and Exodus families.

  • Ensures staff arrives on time and fulfills their commitments. 

  • Takes photos of classes and events for marketing purposes.

  • Ensures teachers do background checks and fill out our teaching forms appropriately. 

  • Informs potential teachers of our handbook and holds initial interviews.

  • Speaks to the community about teaching opportunities that help grow Exodus.

  • Maintains schedule of classes within our available space and time slots

  • Ensures classes are done to the standards of Exodus and do not compromise Christian Values while also being excellent in the education of students

  • Helps with teacher and family interviews, as well as discipline issues should they arise

  • Assigns and Supervises Department Heads.

Position Open

Volunteer Coordinator

This person feels called by God, views Exodus as their mission, is highly organized, has a kind personality, and loves to serve others. 

  • Provides and offers continuous support to volunteers

  • Maintains schedule of job needs and assigns logistics and duties to all parents

  • Ensures tasks are done to the standards of Exodus at the end of Co-op to leave the building better than we found it as a ministry to the Elders. 

  • Makes sure that supplies are brought out before Exodus begins and put up at the end of the day. 

  • Look for opportunities within the community to expand programs, such as internship opportunities for teens.

  • Plans and executes social opportunities within the community, such as field trips, Mom's night out, etc. 

  • Encourages parents to plan fun days and take responsibility for getting involved in Exodus. 

  • Sets parents up with appropriate guidelines and expectations for things they plan, according to the handbook. 

  • Helps with special events and encourages public school parents to embark on this journey.

  • Helps with teacher and family interviews, as well as discipline issues should they arise.

Staff members are essential to the everyday happenings of Exodus.

Special Events Coordinator

  • Coordinates events for Exodus and within the community such as open house, conventions, etc.

  • Helps advertise such events and maintain good community relations

Co-op Coordinator

Our Doves are our front line in family retention and growth. Therefore this position must be coordinated by someone motivated and highly involved in Exodus.

  • Develops and maintains schedule of coop classes

  • Helps advertise within the community

  • Directly involved in all operations

  • Recruits helpers and staff for Dove timeframe

  • Coordinates schedule and assigns classrooms

  • Maintains student schedules

  • Runs smooth operations

  • Equips and Encourages young mothers that homeschool IS possible

Department Heads

  • Coordinates different departments as needed

  • Ensures Teacher satisfaction as well as compliance with our code of conduct

  • Communicates needs with teachers

  • Helps advertise classes as available

  • Heads may include: Arts, Math, English, Science, Technology, etc departments

Logistics Coordinator

  • Assists Volunteer coordinator in sharing jobs which can be assigned

  • Supervises volunteer efforts and ensures a clean workspace and building

  • Clean and disinfect where needed

The Board

Our Board Members are in charge of yearly operations, mission focused, and approve BIG changes. They do not have to be those directly involved in the daily operations of Exodus.
